Realistically, assuming you have the OS on hand, and you get good at creating everything, it should only take you 15-45 minutes to get it all set up again, including Hatch as well. So basically, this is a work around, but it does require a complete reinstall and new VM in order to work. What you would need to do is create a new VM and install the OS again, and any other things you need to install in order to get the VM to work well (for Oracle, you need to install guest additions or something of the sort to enable click and drag through multiple monitors if that's something you're interested in, and other stuff)
Which means, even if you do a save state before installing the program, it's already registered the MAC address. So basically, the way it works is the program registers your MAC address.
